I was first introduced to Airbrushing in 1994, during my Graphic Design Course at The Design School of Southern Africa. It was at this time that I commenced my research to learn everything I possibly could about the art of Airbrushing.
Some of my work as an Airbrush artist to date includes; painting motorbikes for the Hell’s Angels motorcycle club, murals in private homes, painting stages and sets for concerts such as 46664 Nelson Mandela Concert, Craig David SA, MTV-Base SA, International Conference for Sustainable Development , Earth Live, Bollywood Film Awards, FIFA 2010, Smurfs Global Day (Guinness World Record), OUTsurance adverts, AFDA student films (Loerie Award) .
As an artist I am privileged to create artworks on human skin. Having started out working on motorbikes and cold hard walls, I have had to develop my techniques. Painting on skin is quite different in many ways. I enjoy the interaction with the model and each painting is as unique as the person I am painting. It is important that I complete my work as quickly as possible, whilst still retaining the quality. This is because it is difficult for the models to be still for such a long period of time in often cold or uncomfortable positions.
See this amazing artist work live at Stand 226 at Sexpo 2016, while you there why not get a sprayed tattoo or for the more adventurous take up the challenge and use your body as his canvas.
